A Tranquil Norwegian Summer Home

 Boutique Homes

Situated in a quiet residential cul-de-sac in Larvik, Norway, is an inviting holiday rental called Vindlyveien. It was designed by Norwegian architect Ulrik Hellum in 1967. He built many summer homes or "hytter" in Larvik with his intention being to create architecture that adapts perfectly to nature and the surrounding environment. The house is tucked away between rocks and meadows, surrounded by woods and sheltered from the wind. Behind the modest exterior, there are bright spacious rooms reflecting mid-century modern aesthetics and the Scandinavian style of the owner. All white with vivid colorful accents and vintage furnishings, the rooms will remind you of bright summer days. Modern Scandinavian stoves emanate warmth and add an extra hygge feeling on cold days. This charming Norwegian summer home offers a tranquil retreat to relax and disconnect in style.
